Technician Apprentice

The necessary requirements are:

Personal skills:

- Clear, easy to understand communication, both verbal and written
- Good people skills – ability to handle situations diplomatically
- Personable appearance

Technical Skills:

- Up-to-date technical and practical knowledge of computers
- Good troubleshooting skills

Important Note: We are not looking for a highly qualified person with a long list of certificates. We need someone who has the foundations for computer repair work and who is quick in learning and is able to apply new information.

Job Description: Troubleshoot, repair or set up computers and networks in-shop and on-site. Follow up on jobs. Handle email requests. Keeping good notes and necessary paperwork on jobs done.

We are located on the north-east Indianapolis and are looking for someone who lives in close proximity as the majority of our customer base is located in this area.

This is a contract to hire position for an Intern/Apprentice. During internship the applicant needs to show good skills and ability to learn new skills and perform actions accurately and quickly. After the internship the applicant may be eligible for permanent hire.

The technician will need to be available Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm, and Saturday 9am to 2pm, except for major holidays (4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).

Payment: During apprentice period – as learning time, – we do not pay the training hours when the applicant is being educated. In this period pay is given to repairs performed by the applicant on his/her own. During this period, applicant will be paid $8/hour.

Based on performance review in 30-90 days, applicant will be eligible for increase. As well as for production bonuses which are based on his/her production statistics that include feedback from customers.

Flier Distributor

The necessary requirements are:

Technical Skills:

- Basic computer skills (email & use of Google maps mainly)

Job Description:

We need a person to distribute fliers in residential neighborhoods in Fishers, Carmel and North-East Indianapolis.
We will train to show you how to distribute the fliers without causing complaints from property owners.
The distribution is to be done by bicycle, or on foot.
The flier distribution is to be done in the early morning, between 6am and 8am.
Our fliers will not be distributed together with any other fliers.
The area(s) covered should be reported daily for follow-up purposes.

Payment: By the number of fliers distributed: 3c/piece in the beginning, and when there are results from the areas covered indicate it will be raised to 5c/piece.

We are looking for someone for both a longer term position and for the summer.
