Here are some of the successes as a result of the service given by Computer Wizard. It’s our pleasure to give a good service and see the results.

Here is what a lady said whose computer was cleaned up:

A man concisely just said “I’m impressed” after his home network was set up and working perfectly. Another person previously tried to make it work but couldn’t.

A woman has been working from home and connecting to his workplace through the internet. But she had her internet access set up in a moldy basement. She bought a wireless access point so that she would be able to access the internet anywhere from her home. But after installing it there was no connection. She called us and the problem was found a fixed quickly and she happily moved out of the basement.

We got a call from a man that his computer does not start. It gave some strange error message when it was turned on. We found that the computer was loaded with viruses, spyware and all kinds of malicious software. By using a special CD that we made the computer was cleaned up. Lo and behold the computer after that started normally and was working nicely.

A woman called because her computer was extremely slow. A quick check revealed that it had a failing hard drive. We took the computer got a new hard drive, reinstalled the Windows and even got 99% of her data recovered from the failing hard drive. She had her computer back the next day running better than ever. We got an e-mail from her which says it all:

Yea!!! I think you are something of a miracle worker.  I do appreciate how quickly you work!!!

A small business with three computer has encountered their first data loss. The main computer’s hard drive crashed and such a way that it was not possible to recover any of the information that was on it. Even the most recent backups were months old. We replaced the hard drive and installed the system back on which took many long hours and they had to reenter their inventory. The owner was smart enough to make sure this never happens in the future. We worked out and implemented a backup solution where all their information is saved daily and all 3 computers are fully backed up. The test came not much after the first hard drive crash, another – a laptop -  hard drive decided to quit. This time it took less than an hour and everything was restored down to the last icon on the desktop!

An older lady in West Lafayette contacted me (she knew me as a fellow Hungarian) and asked my advice because, as it turned out, she was given a bad service and was overcharged by a local computer business. I gave her advice, showed and explained her couple of things. Couple days ago she called me because a good chunk of her emails was missing, nowhere to be found. I did a remote assistance session and looked around on her computer and found that the emails were somehow completely wiped out (she didn’t know what happened). Fortunately she had a backup of her files and I went there and found that her emails were still intact on the backup so I went ahead and restored the emails for her. Needless to say she was thrilled and very relieved. She said at the end “You know, I don’t need these crummy technicians in Lafayette! I just call you when I have a problem.“
