A Small Business With Big ProblemsPosted on: August 13th, 2008 We were called to an office which had 6 computers. They lost their computer guy who took care of the computers and problems came up that were not fixed and just got worse. The owner tried some other technicians and then he got our flier. Our technician went out, looked at the computers and listened to the owner what had to be accomplished. He went ahead and fixed every one of those problems. Thoroughly tested the system to make sure everything was working fine. Shortly after that we got an e-mail from the owner nominating our technician to a ‘hero’ status. Then he gave a commendation letter. “Please allow me to introduce Laszlo [our technician], an excellent Computer Technician, who is a honest, reliable, and talented person. “Our company buys, sells and reconditions used manufacturing machinery for the tire and rubber industry all around the world. We depend upon a local network of personal computers in our office linked together with each other and the Internet for conducting our business. During 18 of our 22-year history, we were fortunate enough to have in-house computer expertise. When we lost that expertise in June 2004, computer problems multiplied quickly with software problems, hardware problems, and a barely functioning network. “We tried three different on-site computer technicians and spent substancial amounts of money in an attempt to right the ship and get back on course with our computer system. Every one of the first technicians proposed solutions that would be both expensive and time consuming and went away without making any improvements. As the owner of the company, I was definitely discouraged. “Then, I met Laszlo. After a brief telephone conversation, he agreed to meet to take a look at the system and listen to the nature of the problems. He did listen and proposed solutions that were within our budgets and could be accomplished in a short time. He was knowledgeable, confident and extremely pleasant to work with. I agreed with his proposal and I am happy to report that our system was up and running quickly and we have arranged for further improvements to make it the best it has ever been. “Without reservation, I recommend Laszlo for your computer service needs.
